India is a melting pot of major religions and cultures. Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, is one of the world's largest and busiest cities. Despite rapid economic progress in recent years, close to 40% of the city's 12.5 million people live in abject poverty.

The harvest is rich and the need for revival is urgent. And even in this burgeoning city, God's chosen few are working tirelessly to bring His kingdom on earth. God is constantly searching for His lost sheep, always keen to express His love to all humanity. And He continues calling out to all amidst the chaos and busyness of our bustling modern lives. One man heard this call; experienced the touch of our Saviour through music; and then had a divine appointment with God. At the age of 17, Bro. Manuel Mergulhao was blessed with the gift of prophesy. He has been serving God for more than 30 years now, carrying the torch of His fire to all nations—people from every religion, culture and race—thereby bringing fulfilment to His word: “In the last days, I shall pour out my Spirit over all flesh.”

When Bro. Manuel Ministries (BMM) was established almost three decades ago, it ministered to just 50 people. Today, it caters to thousands with just one Divine purpose: "To set up a small shop one yard away from hell to win back lost souls for the Lord."

BMM is on a mission to bring revival into the lives and hearts of people and lead them to a healthier, happier and complete life in Jesus Christ.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1 Corinthians 1:17 NIV

Bro. Manuel is committed to reaching out to the lost and lonely. “I have set a small shop one yard from hell to rescue lost souls,” he often says. Since its inception, Bro. Manuel has sought to create an organization that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community it serves. From a humble beginning more than a decade ago, today, BMM has emerged as one of the most vibrant ministries in the city of Mumbai.

BMM hopes to win souls through the healing message of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is all about bringing people to the feet of Jesus, where they can find true comfort and ministry. Without the fruits of salvation, a ministry can show little to confirm that its existence is God ordained. BMM is strongly committed to extending the opportunity for salvation to anyone who listens.

Through discipleship, theological studies and practical experience, an individual can multiply their personal gifts. BMM believes in and relies heavily on people keen on God’s purposes.

I aspire to proclaim the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, so that I do not build on another's foundation, but as it is written: "Those who have never been told of him shall see, and those who have never heard of him shall understand."

BMM holds the following points as its Statement of Faith:

The Bible is the infallible Word of God; it is His holy and inspired Word; and its authority is supreme and final.

There is one God, eternally existing in three persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins, died and rose again. He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate.

That men everywhere face the judgment of God, and can be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Through His Blood we receive healing & deliverance.

That Christ rose from the dead and will come again.

We must empathise with the hurts and needs of our fellowmen.

We must dedicate ourselves anew to the service of our Lord and to His authority over our lives.

We must use every modern means available to us to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
